Product: Star Wars: Squadrons
Platform:Steam-PC
Please specify your platform model. PC
What is your gamertag/PSN ID/EA Account name? gratiye
Are you playing in VR? No
Which part of the game is the issue happening in? Hangar / Briefing Room
What were you doing when the bug occurred? Step by Step detail is helpful. Steps to reproduce: - Enable VSync in video settings - Enter any mission in the campaign. - Pause the game and return to the hangar. - VSync is still enabled in video settings, but no longer works (FPS not locked to 60)
Where did this issue occur? Please include menu name or in game location. When selecting the "return to hangar" option during any in-game mission.
When did this happen? (dd.mm.yy hh:mm) 10.03.20 18:00
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
How severe is your issue? Just a minor concern
What happens when the bug occurs? VSync stops working - framerate is no longer locked to 60FPS and visual tearing occurs, even though VSync is enabled in video settings.
What do you expect to see? VSync keeping the framerate throttled to 60FPS at all times.
Which ship were you playing? If not applicable, just answer "no" or "none." n/a
What components were you using? Dualshock 4 connected via Bluetooth
Which customizations (if any) were you using? None

Whenever you return to the hangar in the game, VSync stops working until the next time you restart the game. It's not a game-breaking issue, but combined with the issue of really bad visual tearing when VSync isn't enabled (see this thread: ), it is an annoying issue that means I hav

DxDiag attached.

    Hey everyone,

This has been fixed in Update 1.1:

"Fixed an issue where V-Sync would sometimes become disabled upon returning to the main menu".

  • In the campaign, the game runs at 60fps v-sync if you've chosen that.

But as soon as you go into any of the practice modes, it just utterly ignores your setting and runs at 180fps or whatever.

And I assume it will do this in multiplayer too. But I've not tried multiplayer yet as, due to the aforementioned reasons, I've not been able to do the practice stuff in any sort of remotely playable manner.

What were you doing when the bug occurred? Step by Step detail is helpful. Just starting my second game, every time I start the game I can just play one game with VSync and a good frame rate.
Where did this issue occur? Please include menu name or in game location. In the game itself.

How severe is your issue? Can play, but it's highly frustrating
What happens when the bug occurs? VSync is inactive after working and the frame rate is supposedly in VERY unrealistic levels in gameplay (300fps), but the game runs very bad and tearing is allover the play. It's not playable really. It's always fine the first game, then it's buggy and I have to restart the game.
What do you expect to see? The game just working with VSYNC the whole time
Which ship were you playing? If not applicable, just answer "no" or "none." n0
What components were you using? Doesn't matter
Which customizations (if any) were you using? Standard stuff.

I use 60hz and v sync, the first game after starting Squadrons works fine, but after the first game the frame rate jumps jump to 300 and more (which is surely not the actual frame rate, because it stutters and my system is not able to reach this numbers on ultra). VSync is still on in the options but not working anymore. Something breaks V-Sync / the rendering after playing one game, which is a very strage bug.

Clearly tearing and frame rate above my monitor's refresh rate, yet the game feels like 30fps.

After the first game is laggy and stuttering and so bad that I have to restart the whole game.

I tried many options in game full screen, borderless, 59hu, Sync on and off, AA off etc. changing Nvidia driver options (strangely even the Nvidia v sync doesn't work then too)

It's after the first game, VSync is malfunctioning and I have to restart the game. It took awhile to narrow it down to the 2nd game and not some menu like loadout or something like that.

I tried using the Nvidia Control panel to force VSync.

Main menu had 60 fps but lobby / loadout and gameplay over 200fps.

Very strange that this game is able to overwrite the Nvidia settings.

Same exact issue but on a Radeon system. First match VSync runs fine, but as soon as I go to a new one I go from 60 to 80 fps, and terrible screen tearing occurs, and like you mentioned fps appears to be around 30 or so in actuality.. Messed with the same settings and in the Radeon Software but haven't been able to fix it. Pretty much makes the game almost unplayable.

  • Only "fix" is to restart the game each time. Hope they fix this soon as 60fps+ looks and feels terrible

  • Same exact thing. I'm going to see if I can change the settings in Nvidia control panel to force vsync through that.

Same issue here, V-Sync stops working after 1 match but for some reason seems locked at 30fps even when it says close to 300.
