Can you attach a screenshot of the error? (Make sure it does not include any personal account login info)
I'm on an android phone using 9.0 software and app version 1.0.6 both of these are up to date.
I'm able to login to the app then once login has been confirmed I get the error message at the top of the screen in a red bar as other users have already mentioned, check these for screenshot as I wouldn't be supplying anything different from what's already in this thread.
It's been going on for 3 to 4 weeks now so find it hard to believe that your "not seeing any significant volume around this" there are quite a few threads on this issue, instead of being all in the same one.
Things I have tried:
1. Clear cache. Try logging in. Didn't work.
2. Clear user data. Try logging in. Didn't work.
3. Uninstalled the app.
4. Reset phone.
5. Download the app.
6. Reset my phone.
7. Log in with my account details and step 2 verification. Still didn't work.
Still get the same error message over and over again and I've tried doing this quite a few times now over the past few weeks.
As usual you guy's don't do anything about this and blame the users, try this try that blah blah blah instead of resolving the issue with an update for the service that yous a meant to be providing.
Forgot to mention that I also tried changing my password as you suggested, but surprise surprise IT DIDN'T WORK!!
- 7 years agoNow I'm getting the run-around from tech support.
Was contacted from this this thread and asked to verify my account which I did the companion still wouldn't login.
Was then asked to contact an EA advisor which I did via email and now the advisor is asking me to contact them via phone or chat.
Chat doesn't seem to be available in my region and phoning isn't really an option for me as I'm at work during their operating hours.

Good morning everybody,
I'm French and I have the same problem. The official website have a problem, when I try to connect, the website refresh all the time and I can't log me... It's a problem.
For the application, I have disinstall and install the application and I have cheked "Stay logged in" and now the application works (but not the website). The others time it's the same but after a moment the application doesn't work. I will see...
Can EA repare the website ?

For anyone still having issues with this I was able to get it to work eventually on my Android phone, though I think it was mostly luck, the following worked for me:
After trying multiple web browsers I was eventually able to login with Microsoft Edge (which I never use so there was no cache). Note: I was only able to get it work after clicking through (not skipping) the tutorial.
After I'd logged in once I waited a few hours then cleared cache, cleared data and then uninstalled the app from my phone.
Reinstalled and swiped through the tutorial again and finally have access from my phone.
Note that during the help phase support directed me to activate my account from the profile page here: https://account.origin.com/cp-ui/aboutme/index?locale=en_US
Not sure if it had any effect but I'd recommend doing this first if you haven't already.
Good luck!Edit: after trying to login again 24 hours later, it's no longer working. I give up.
