It’s the same issue with not getting bonus points for disabling ships or shields with ion, I can work my butt off getting a shield down and get absolutely no reward. Meanwhile my team farming bots gets top of the leaderboard as I die alone for the tenth time trying to attempt a bombing run on the objective.
To be fair, farming bots is very important to prolong your attack phase but I know what you mean. In a good team you would have support to increase your survivability on your bombing run but that actually requires decent team play. So overall it seems to me that your problem is less the scoring and more really frustrating experiences of so called team play (or not). Do you have a clan? My experience was that the fun increased 10 fold once I was playing in an organised team. When I see a bomber doing a run I usually tail them and try to make them survive as long as possible which usually ends up with me dying and the bomber surviving which is mission accomplished in my books.
