Its probably a small subroutine to support filghtsticks. Your programmers might have the chops to do it if they are worth anything.
I too have a thrustmaster hostas light stick that doesn't seem to be supported by my Xbox One X. However it does work as long as the controller power is on. As soon as it turns off due to lack of play the fight stick does as well. And you can't scroll with the flight stick on the options menu you have to use the controller. I'm very confused and frustrated
