Won't launch game

Same on my end.  Origin disappears, then pops back up about 10 seconds later.  Star Wars process start to about 500MB then closes.  3800x and 1080ti

So, after some trial and error, and trying all the advice on this thread, none of which worked, I checked the event viewer.

The problem I'm having is that Origin starts up and then I see the process of Star Wars in the Task Manager using 500MB and then it stops running and Origin seems to restart or something.

In the event viewer it says this:

I don't know if this might help someone working on a fix for our problem, but I honestly liked the 2 hours I got to play of the game and would love to get back in. But I can't open the game.

So please guys, we'll be as helpful as possible.

same for me , worked when i updated the nvidia drivers then next launch stuck on logo 

clicked on the jedi logo so it had focus and alt F4 and bingo game launches

Doesn't ALT F4 vary by keyboard manufacturer? What function is ALT F4 on your keyboard @proxos666 ? On mine it is sound on/off.

By default it should close what ever app is in focus and if nothing is in focus it will prompt to shutdown windows (talking windows 10 here)

So, update! I got my game to run this morning by reinstalling my graphics drivers (they were up to date, I just reinstalled the same version), then I tried to launch the game through steam and it gave an error.

After that, I started the game through Origin and it worked. Haven't gone out of the game yet to see if it's consistent, but just wanted to let you guys know.

DXDIAG says you have an old video driver.

Your DXDIAG says "Driver Version: 25.21.14.2531" when it should say "Driver Version: 26.21.14.4120" (as of the 441.20 driver release a few days ago specifically for this game).

Hopefully, the ALT F4 fix mentioned a few times works for you.

Thanks @proxos666 . So, there is an "extra app" running that needs to get shut down before proceeding? Perhaps, an app that runs first time the game launches?
