If the current systems can't handle it, would you patch it in for the next gen ones?
How Battlefront handled split screen is for mainly offline arcade so Campaign and Multiplayer would not support it. But that being said we do not know if there is an offline arcade mode yet.
edit: also in one hand patching in split screen after release would be a first in gaming patch history and in the another don’t think they would patch it as EA would focus on multiplayer.
We need more games to include Multiplayer again instead of being online-mode only. Bring back Multiplayer games!
During EA play they said the mode with phases (I believe it was called "Fleet Battles") could be played against bots. The campaign sounds like it is has four AI teammates. These two things sound like awesome opportunities for split screen. Since the game is built for current gen consoles, the next gen consoles would have plenty of horse power to handle a split screen patch. Fortnite has patched in split screen.
Do any of the modes support split screen?
Hopefully, they will announce some split screen content when they share more on the game.

That's a good question. But given the need to see the entire cockpit and its instruments, STAR WARS™: Squadrons does not support split-screen play.
@Straatford87Thanks for the reply. Unless Microsoft has the streaming services going so I can play it with people in the same room, I will skip buying this game. I buy very few games that don't offer local co-op and instead play them in game pass. When this hits EA Access, I might buy a month of EA Access to play this and Fallen Order.
Fallen Order is excellent. I hope Squadrons will impress also. 🙂
