xb1 - can't play outer rim DLC

I have star wars battlefront and season pass on my xbox one.

I have downloaded the outer rim DLC but after installing this, this DLC in the game is still disabled. The page for the DLC outer rim installer says it is installed, but SWB says it is not installed.

Attached is an image to show the two screens.

So after posting this I discovered what the problem and solution was.

It seems even though I had downloaded SWB, season pass, and the outer rim DLC, and have been playing SWB for quite some time now, the season pass which was downloaded had not actually been installed.

Here is the support page which describes how to install extra content for a game on xb1... this procedure led me to the above discovery.

Once I installed season pass, the outer rim DLC became playable.

Try a hard reset to clear the cache.

Here are the steps to clear your Xbox One Cache:

    1.  Have your Xbox One on
    2.  Hit and HOLD the Xbox Button on the front of the console for around 10 sec, until it shuts down
    3.  Once it has powered down, UNPLUG the power brick from the back of the console and wait until the light goes off on the power brick.

    4.  Press the Xbox Button on the front of the console a couple time to ensure all power is drained

    5.  Wait another 30 sec
    6.  Plug it back in and power up the console

I'm having the exact same issue but for PS4, any tips there?

@CheekyLandos Hey, can you try a restart(not rest mode) too? Does it show as installed on your side? Perhaps you can try reinstalling it?

Are your Season Pass and the game purchase from the same region? There are some regional restrictions to PS content that can stop DLC being used with an out-of-region base game.

    Thanks.

I am based in Australia with the Australian game but my DLC was purchased in the US. I did believe this was the reason but was uncertain whether there was a way to solve it. I do have a US account on my PlayStation which is where the code was entered so I don't understand why it won't install, thanks!

TapouTony420, this was not the solution... please see my reply describing the solution.

Your procedure is essentially describing forcing the console to shut down and restart. The current version of the xb1 OS now has a restart command in the settings menu, so it is no longer necessary to restart the console using the procedure you have described... it can be performed now through the xb1 user interface.
