XBox 360 and Steam Controller not working

I am trying to play the Origin version of the game through Steam Link. I added the game as an external title to my Steam library. The game launches but it does not recognize my controller neither Steam nor the Xbox controller work correctly. The game always recognizes keyboard and mouse as input. Is there an option to force same game to accept the controller as the standard input?

    Hey @phigax  Not aware of anything that can force it to recognise the controller when using steam link. 

    Does it work when you don't use steam link?

    @EA_AticI have the same issue, but bought the game on steam. Game worked a couple times. Once via steam link with a Steam controller. A second time on the pc (no steam link) with a steam controller. Since then, I cannot get the game to recognize the controller.

    I have tried unplugging all usb/input devices except the steam controller, and it still thinks i am using amouse and keyboard.

    This is very frustrating.
