@ianburnette In Device Manager, do you see Xbox 360 Controller under Xbox Peripherals? If so, disable or delete it. That’s what worked for me.

I had the same problem with my PS3 controller. It happened after playing with the video settings. What worked for me, was clearing the user settings by renaming this file: (close the game first)

%LOCALAPPDATA%\SwGame\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\GameUserSettings.ini

The game will create a new ini-file with default settings.
