I cant play Starwars because it wont sign me into my EA account. The image ive posted shows what comes up.

My son is having this issue on Xbox One. I can play online just fine but as soon as we go to his account, it gives us the error message that he cannot access online features. This does not appear to be an issue with the settings. I checked his Xbox account settings and he can play any other game online just fine. Very frustrating. Any suggestions on how to fix?

I am having the same issue with my son... I can log in fine under my name and play... but when he goes to log in under his name, no online content allowed... I have all his settings so he is not restricted at all. He can play any other game online. EA doesn't seem to be any help. It did this in beta as well.... I was hoping when the new game came out, it would be fixed.... I hope they fix this soon.... I even created his own ea account, but don't know how to link it to his gamer tag... till then, he is playing under my name... but he wants to play under his own name....Please look into this, and if anyone knows how to fix it, please post....

Okay, finally fixed it. If no one has a problem with changing the birthday of there children to make them older, but that is what has to be done or wait and see if EA fixes this. The problem lies in when you created your childs Microsoft account, you put in their birthday and that is what is being used as a check to see if they have access to the content or not. It doesn't matter what xbox parental settings you have. If your Microsoft account has your childs birthday as this day, then that is the check. You can edit it by signing into your Microsoft account, then under security and privacy, you will see manage permissions for children. Under this, you can edit there profile including birthday. Now I do not recommend doing this unless you really don't care, because it basically will make them an adult in the online world. But I checked it and it does work. The only other thing I had to do was sign onto his ea account (origin client) and make sure it was linked to his xbox one live profile. Once that was done, I can log into the game under his name and play multiplayer and everything else... I know it sounds confusing, but it works.... as long as the emails are the same between ea (origin) and the one you use for his Microsoft account....

Hi! It's at least comforting to see i'm not the only one with this issue. I excitedly picked up this game for my kids and I last night and, like the others here, my kids cannot join the EA servers for multiplayer. While my account connects without any issue, they receive the error "You are not allowed to access online features". Their xbox permissions are all open to play online and they do not have any content blocked. I've never had an issue until this game. A huge bummer when we all looked forward to a Saturday night of playing Star Wars together and here's Dad still hunched over a computer Sunday afternoon looking for a fix. NOTHING I have tried has worked...This didn't work for me....1. Log in to your Origin account https://www.origin.com/2. Down Load the Origin App from the top header that says 'Down Load Origin' 3. Accept terms and conditions when launching the App.4. Fill in your log-in details (same as Origin Account5 In the App. Click Friends -> Add a friend in the menu bar6.You will see the option to connect to XBOX Live or Playstation Network. We Choose XBOX7. It will prompt you to log into your Microsoft account (the email address and password you use to log into your xbox)(Doesn't matter if is says you failed to find a friend it will still work ) Go back to XBOX1 try to launch the game and go to Multi Player. It should work fine.THIS DIDN'T WORK BECAUSE when i sign into origins with my kids' EA accounts, the only thing in the menu bar above is "MY GAMES", no "friends" nothing.I've also looked into trying the suggestion of changing your kids' age in their xbox live account. I have not been able to find those options. IF ANYONE KNOWS HOW TO DO THIS, PLEASE SHOW ME.Sorry, for the lengthy message but my frustration level is pretty high and I'm trying to document what all my issues have been. My nephew had the same problem today on PS4.He doesn't have an EA account yet.
We were checking the menus of the game & the unlocks.We were checking the emotes & oops! Lost connection with PSN & EA.
Then a message appeared:"you don't have access-screenshot recorded & thank you for playing SWBF" !!!
WTH? Is it necessary to make an EA account to play the game? I have one for me & i don't have any issues at all so far.
My nephew is not interested to join the forum or the companion app.He just wants to play the game online.

Ok so it has take me all of the hours I've been awake since yesterday, but I have managed to sort it so that my son can play online.
The issue was that he did not have an EA origin account. So I set that up for him, and it still didn't work. I then realised that his EA account and his Xbox live account were not link. So I had to download the Origin client for my Mac (PC also available), and log in as him, then on the tool bar at the top of the screen click the 'show friends list' tab, then click search for friends, when the search box comes up there is an option to import friends from your chosen console. this will then connect the 2 accounts. And hey presto show work.
Also note that I have his DOB as over 18 when I created his account.
I hope what I have said makes sense and will work for you guys.
Think I am now the wolds best dad, serious brownie points ;-)

I got it to work for my son by logging into my Microsoft account and changing his date of birth.

Having the same exact issues- my sons setting allows him to play any other game online but for some reason not this one- my account works just fine. Has there been any news regarding a fix?

This really stinks!
I bought this game for my 10 year old son today and he also couldn't play it.
I've had to access his Microsoft account and change his birthdate, then download an Origin App to a PC, register for an Origin account (with another false birthdate) and then find a friend to link his XBOX Live, 360 and One accounts.
What a pile of * to play an Xbox game. Did anyone test this!?!
