I downloaded the beta on Xbox One, and once at the main menu of the game am told that I am not online on my EA Account and that I "must be signed into your EA Account to access the online features". When I try to hit "go online" or "connect" it loads for a few seconds and then notifies me in a pop up message of the exact same thing it said before I hit "Connect". I have no idea why it's doing this, I reinstalled the games multiple times and turned my console on and off as well. I also tried double checked my Xbox One account was linked to my EA Account which it is. Any help would be appreciated.

Same here. As frustrating and disheartening it may be, it is day one problems as well as beta problems that was without a doubt going to happen. Any luck yet?

I was having the same issue, where I would be signed into xbox live, be able to purchase, get achievements and etc..., and was getting that same cannot connect to EA error.
When I went to this site: http://starwars.ea.com/starwars/battlefront - I could see my xbox live gamertag and see that it was the "active account", so confirm you see the same thing here first.
After that, I am embarrassed to say, all I did to be able to connect was to reset my stupid router while signed into my xbox one, on the title screen for SW Battle Front.
Immediately after resetting the router, which again was letting me connect to xbox live and so on, I connected the first time after pressing Y and have been playing all morning.
Hope this helps, and sorry EA is utterly useless in providing answers to any of us!

So when I sign in, I got to "PROFILE SETTINGS"
Then "CHANGE PROFILE"
At that point it shows me a box with my xbox gamertag and belox that a box with my PC gamer info.
However in order to add it from scratch, you have to go to https://myaccount.ea.com, MAKE SURE YOU ARE AT EA.COM only, not EA/starwars, or any game
Login, then go to your account, then under your "ACCOUNT SETTINGS", basic information is where you add you XBOX info in the first place.
Sorry none of this is intuitive or easy to find, with all the money they make and problems they know they create, this should be easier!
