Your personal favourite Starfighter?

Hi guys, just wondering do you have a Personal favourite SF?

I still like the X-wing for Dogfights. The Y-Wing is fun for FB Vs AI.

I like TIE Reaper and Bomber for both Dogfights and FB VS AI. I like the TIE Def for FB VS AI.

Just wondering what its like for others?

  • *SP only perspective!

I don't get warm with the supporters although both of them are cool ships

Other then that I love all of the 8 remaining - but I had to put them in a ranking

TIE/d - because it reminds me of the old TIE Fighter game and I just loved that ship as child

B-Wing - because it reminds me of Rebel Assault II

TIE/in - coolest looking SF from the original trilogy

TIE/ln - second coolest looking SF from the original Trilogy

    X-Wing - Luke!

    A-Wing - had a toy I loved as a child

TIE/sa - really cool gameplay wise

Y-Wing - has a cool down to business feel to it

    Yes - I'm a fanboy ^^

  • just because I use VR.... for me it has to be the X-Wing. It's a dream come true. All i need now is a Death Star trench and it will be complete.
I do love the other ships too, and the Ties in VR even though it's like flying a washing machine which is really funny :-)

  • I play dogfights almost exclusively. My favorite starfighter has been and will continue to be the A-Wing, even with the recent nerfs. I have a "fast/maneuverable/ion missile" loadout X-wing build that is a close second when battling TIE Defenders. The A-wing smaller footprint is good for tight squeezes, and when (if?) you pull off a tight clearance maneuver, you feel like a hero.

Similar on the Imperial side: TIE interceptor and  a fast/maneuverable TIE fighter loadout a very close second. I am a sucker for Rapid Fire Cannons despite the shorter range. Love them on the A-wing and TIE Interceptor.

I have yet to play this game with a VR headset on, but I bet that all of the New Republic cockpits look and "feel" amazing. I know that I lose out for visibility without playing with a VR headset. Still hilarious fun.

@Cleaner9191 When you do play in VR, you'll love the A-wing even more because of the visibility from the cockpit.
  • Yup it is great. And not just the A-wing. It's great being able to look around and track what's going on around you with VR. 😊

@NightsEye one of the first people I squaded up with was playing in VR and, as we became friends, couldn't help but comment on how awesome it was. Finally, I caved and got a VR setup. I'm so glad I did... intense games of squadrons in VR as so thrilling.

Very happy I spent the loot for that experience... dunno if i can say the same about the balance changes... but, ya know...
  • On NR I love to use the X wing - it suits my play style. I am an all rounder and prefer a fighter that can handle multiple roles.

For IN I tend to use the TIE Fighter for the same reasons! However lately I have been using the TIE Defender more.
