Bugged scrap droid won't drop pyretic shard

Scrap droid on kobah basalt rift area, available for the first time on the objective reach the forest array, I have killed him probably 40 times in many different ways trying to get it to drop but it won't. Tried it on new gsme plus and as well by deleting saved data and restarting fresh. Still no luck.  Last shard I need to complete the game. Any help or ideas? Please update for fix.
