Databank lists reset to first entry when returning from sublist
Product: STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor
Platform:PlayStation 5 Digital Edition
Summarize your bug When navigating through the Databank entries, anytime I go into a subcategory and then return, the selected entry has been reset on the parent list to the first entry.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? 1. Go into the Databank and choose a subcategory. For example, go into the Characters category, then to Jaro Tapal. 2. Back out of the Jaro Tapal category, and note that the parent list has reset the selected entry to Cal Kestis. 3. Back out again and note that the parent category has been reset to the first entry as well (About Koboh in my case).
What happens when the bug occurs? Anytime you enter and then exit a category that is not the first entry in its list, the selection will be reset to the first entry.
What do you expect to see? When you enter a category and then exit it, the selected entry remains the same on the parent as when you entered it.
For example, in the above steps, after entering Characters and then Jaro Tapal, when I go back up a level I'd expect the selected entry to remain Jaro Tapal, and backing up again to the parent level again to be at the Characters entry. Having the selected entry reset to the first one implies that the breadcrumb history is not being saved as I navigate the Databank and the index keeps being reset to 0, which is really annoying as the Databank expands and the lists get longer.
I'd assume the solution involves keeping a stack of parent indices as the player drills further into the Databank.
