Same Error on PC, i'm stuck.
This morning while launching the game this one crashed twice, once launched I continue the adventure and I arrive quickly at the fight with Rayvis which during all the cinematic was invisible. then as for the others the 1st phase of the bump no problem but after it becomes invincible...

Thanks for reaching out. I'd like to make sure I understand the issue. If you die at the same time as the boss Rayvis do you respawn in the same area and the fight automatically restarts? What happens if you beat the boss after respawning?
If I'm missing something there or have the wrong understanding of things, please let me know.

@EA_Lannano you spawn back at the nearest meditation point. Then the next time you go to defeat Rayvis in the boss fight you can take him down to his second stage but you can’t defeat him in his second stage. His health bar reaches empty but it doesn’t trigger the cutscene or anything he just keeps fighting you even though his bar is at empty. no matter what you do or how ever many times you die the boss will stay glitched like this.
Exact same thing has happened to me, quite annoying considering i have been enjoying the game and it is literally a game breaking bug! get it fixed EA
Same issue is there any eta on fix or patch.
This is happening to me as well! I died the same time as I defeated Rayvis.
What seems to have happened for me was the death of Cal has a couple of seconds delay as he collapses to the ground. While this was happening the second cutscene began between this time as well. So when the death of Cal finished it glitches out of the beginning of the cutscene after the second wave and respawns you at the Republic Research Laboratory meditation point.
Then when you attempt to go through the fight again the first cutscene between wave one and two doesn’t happen anymore and what now happens is Rayvis rages and loses armour then the fight continues.
But once you deplete Rayvis’s health, he just continues to attack until you die. I have tried changing difficulty, Restarting the game + console, attempted to leave the area but you cant (No fast travel and No way to back track)
Overall your trapped and getting pummelled by Rayvis over and over with no way out. So this maybe the game glitching with the cutscene folder and death sequence clashing to cause this bug.
Yes it kicks you hack to last meditation point and tells you to go back to where he is, he is still alive and cannot die past second phase.

I also just encountered This Issue on PS5, the same as every1 else, his second phase after killing him triggered a cutscene but he killed me at the same time as the cutscene triggered, and when i died a few seconds later into his cutscene i had to do the fight again but this time it didnt trigger any cutscenes, ONLY his phase that changes, and he becomes immortal after bringing him down in his second phase to no Health,
i have tried everything i could,
- restarting game
- reinstalling game
- dying another way than facing him
- trying to go to another area in the same map
- not picking up XP and dying again
- constantly trying to bash on him for 7 minutes straight after he has no health
- trying changing varius settings
This was on PS5! no way to progress, i can ONLY restart the entire game, which i dont want to, and sadly there is allready too many spoilers on youtube so its hard to jus sit and wait for a patch... but with 50% of the game done and the slow part just about to be OVER now im pretty sad to sit here and just have to restart everything,
The glitch just happened to me as well.
For clarification after defeating Rayvis’s first health bar a cutscene plays out and his second bar comes in. Upon defeating Rayvis and Cal dying at the same time, the game resets to the nearest meditation point and from that point you can climb back to the tower and begin the fight again.
At this point even after defeating Rayvis’s second phase the cutscene does not begin and Rayvis continues to fight with no health.
Progression locks and the game can’t be played further upon reloading the game.
The first time you enter the bossfight, if you kill Ravis in his second form at the same time he kills you, the cutscene will play, but it will ask you to respawn, and you will respawn at your last save point. You will go up and fight him again, but after depleting his health in his second form, he will not die.
Same here, but we didn’t die at the same time. He killed me, then I came back and got him to the second phase with him having 0 health… just won’t die
Can’t believe after all my years of gaming, I actually had a true game breaking bug. I died right as I killed him in phase 2. I respawned down below like normal, balloon jump up to him, and fight a guy who has basically infinite health once he gets down to the last sliver.
To have this happen on May 4th sucks even more. I can’t fast travel or do anything in the game now. Please fix this soon. Clearly it’s affecting a lot of folks.
Have any updates been posted yet about progress?
So I ended up restarting the game and played on story mode. It took me about 3 1/2 hours to 4 hours to get back to Rayvis. So if you guys were wanting to restart the game (which is * nuts) it’s shouldn’t take too long to get back to Rayvis.
It doesn't restart from the same area, you respawn to start the fight again. After the first phase to will go to the second and there is when you get stuck, you defeat Ray but he gets stuck in that phase.
@EA_Lanna Is there any kind of update or progress in fixing this. Just something please, or do we have to restart the game?
I have been stuck for about a week with the glitch dreading having to restart because i only am home 3 days a week.
