Force lift and bd1 controls not working

I’ve finished the game and travelling koboh to complete mini missions etc. 

I’m in the observation deck at mountain observatory and there’s a door that needs to be lifted with rb + y (Xbox). No matter what I do the force lift won’t work. All just keeps levitating his light sabres and spinning attack. I also noticed that pressing down on the d pad will not bring up bd1’s controls since I’ve been on this part of koboh. 

I’ve tried restarting, changing my batteries, tried another controller. Nothing seems to work.
