Force Slow Doesnt Work

I have not been able to use Force Slow since the game forces you to do it in the tutorial. I have reset my controls multiple times and tried it on mouse+keyboard and controller. It shows as keybound in my settings but when I press the button I do Wrenching Pull instead. I think I'm stuck on Jedha because I need to slow something to use it for parkour.

Me too, I haven't got that far yet but since the tutorial that happens on Coruscant, force slow just simply doesn't work. I have got it set as key "4" but it just simply doesn't work.

This seems to be a hit or miss problem. The first game I tried it didn’t work. In addition that game had multiple other bugs (including the bounty hunter quest never starting and the fish tank never cleaning, etc). As a result, I began a new game (never finished the first so it isn’t an NG+ game, also just on story mode - not sure if that makes a difference). This new game it seems to be working on all percentages of the slider - pretty sure that just means I got lucky 🤷‍♀️

I am surprised I don't see more people posting that this is not working for them. It's been going on for weeks, and I would have thought this is a pretty fundamental force power to use.

Either people don't use it as much as I thought, or it's working for most people.

I found a workaround on PC...

If you go to Abilities in the menu, you will see Slow is unbound as shown below.

Click on F (Controls) to go to the window that allows you to bind keys.

Here you will notice that Slow is unbound on the controller, as shown below.

You need to plug in a controller and bind one of the buttons, then unplug the controller.

When you go back to the Abilities window, you will notice your keyboard button (4 for me) will now show as the button for Slow.

Now, you can use Slow in combat (after the meter fills up). Next to the meter, it will still say "Unbound", even though it now works.

Clearly, this is an example of how the game was developed primarily for controller.
