Game crashes during Storm Run and other points on Jehda

youre right. i turned RAY-TRACING OFF and it fixed my problem. i wish i tried this yesterday. thanks again

Update: Turning ray-tracing off helps, confirmed by another user with the same issues. Weird because I didn't have any crashes beforehand and had RT on the whole time, it only started at this exact section.

I am having the same problem  since a few hours ago. Now it keeps on crashin. 

I am running a high end PC and went through all the recommended steps:

Driver updates for the GPU in my case 4090 and for Windows 11.  I even verified / repaired the game data in steam.

NOTHING seems to help

Game crashes at the opening cinematic, even after today's patch.

I get:

The game crashes and gives me error:

LowLevelFatalError [File:Unknown] [Line: 686] hr failed at D:/depot/r8branches/r8release/Engine/Source/Runtime/D3D12RHI/Private/D3D12Resources.cpp:507 with error DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED with Reason: DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG

I've:

- Updated my graphics drivers
- Made sure Windows is up to date
- Repaired game files
- Reinstalled the game
- Reinstalled DirectX
- Turned off overlays, e.g., Discord, Steam, Xbox Game Bar

Ray tracing is not on.

I took my PC to the guys who built it. Once I get some info or a solution. I’ll let you know what they me. 

Found a workaround! 

In my case it was only raytracing as it seems especially on jeddah!! Turn it off and then It might work. Aswell the new patch os out and makes the performance a lot better! 

I will try turning it off, its weird im only crashing on Jedha. took me ages to get off that planet the first time, went back to the previous planet did some quest no crashes went to the broken moon no crashes, back to jedha crashed 10 seconds in..

I have the same problem on the same spot. I see by the comments a fix is to turn off Ray Tracing. Sucks, but I'm gonna try that. Hopefully a fix comes soon. They just made a patch to fix non-ray tracing problems, so let's just pray to the force.
