Have the GPU frying bugs been fixed since launch?

The game killed my brand new 3080. Second game I ever played on it, playing in 1440p. Now that I have *another* new GPU, am I able to go back to the game or is there still a risk it will cost me another $1000?

  • Not quite sure what you are referring to. This game hasn't really taxed my GPU and I don't see many others complaining about it.

Plus, it's unlikely a game would kill a video card. Your system should have fail safes to throttle/shutdown your GPU/CPU, if running too hot.

Any other AHQ posts you can point us to?

  • well what MSI told me is the game made my card spike really hard several times so the fail safe crash and powered down but it wasn’t enough and the game had cooked the core.

sounds to me like someone at MSI is feeding you some fiction.

I've not heard anyone else say this game is frying their GPU. If you have some posts you can point me to, I'd like to see them.

  • Well that would only be possible if my computer still worked after playing jedi survivor. After crashing to black screen on Koboh my computer never turned back on and upon buying a new GPU it works perfectly normal now. I never had this issue with another game and the GPU was new. I’m not looking at other posts, I just want to know if I can continue my game because issues have been patched or just delete it entirely and not risk it again
