Jedi Survivor on PS5 Pro

I am on Koboh and am at the tar pit with the yellow platform near the beginning of the level.  When I try to jump, I fall into the tar and keep falling through it to my death.  I have tried creating and deleting beacons as well as playing a training level but nothing helps.  I did not have this problem on my standard PS5.  Is there any way to fix this without having to play the first two hours all over again?  I have tried to contact EA directly but cannot find any way to do that.
