Ilumination and reflections with ray tracing OFF

The global illumination and reflections are currently poorly implemented with RT disabled, resulting in all sorts of visual issues/glitches:



Considering this is an AMD sponsored game, I expected ray tracing to NOT be mandatory in order to have proper reflections and lighting. Any word if this is going to be addressed? More examples:

  • I noticed the exact same issue. It seems there are some baked reflections and shadows with RT OFF that create all sorts of graphical glitches, especially around water.

    It really breaks the immersion and forces one to use Ray Tracing, even when it really affects the performance of the game. None of the options we have right now are ideal.

  • I can't even tell much difference with Raytracing on or off EXCEPT for water reflections. It just kind of eats my frames and otherwise a placebo effect.
