So I have a workaround that MAY work for some! Cause this crap just happen to me as well.

1. Go to PS5 (or XBX) save data and cloud management
2. Download save from before you got out the cave
3. Overwrite current save
4. Turn off auto save upload to cloud for the game (for future unfortunates)
