Jedi Survivor: Automatically switches to Keyboard and Mouse Controls (PC)

So I played this game back when it first launched. There were some performance issues and I had to make an upgrade to run the game well, but overall, minus a few minor bugs and glitches, I had no issues getting through the game and even doing a 100% run while using my controller. I redownloaded the game about a month ago to do a new game plus run and noticed that whenever I launched the game and started playing with my controller, the game kept toggling between my controller and mouse/keyboard. If I were to pause the game, you could see the buttons switch between the mouse and keyboard controls and my controller buttons constantly. It usually would force me to cancel the pause menu on my keyboard because it wouldn't recognize my controller inputs (despite having a wired connection).

The first time I played the game, I used controller and never had anything like this happen. Essentially, my controller controls keep changing/not responding properly (if I press the dash button, I sometimes jump instead, or if I hold block, it will only select the target to use the mind trick, then I get shot by a blaster). I noticed patch 9 came out today and there was mention of something about addressing keyboard issues. I redownloaded the game again to see if that fixed my problem, but unfortunately, the game still wants me to play keyboard and mouse instead of controller. Was wondering to see if patch 9 was meant to fix this issue or if others experience the same problem?

Thanks!

Not yet, but I can see that the video I posted has gotten a few views, so I imagine the team is still working on it. I did find a partial work around where sometimes it works if you add the EA app to steam as a non-game application, launch the EA app from steam, then Jedi survivor from there. I’ve only gotten it to work with a wireless controller tho, so it’s not very consistent. There’s a YouTube video out there that I found a while back about it in case my explanation was confusing. That’s the best I got, sorry.

Hey, so I know it's been a few months but I figured out a fix for this that EA hasn't gotten back to you about. It's stupid but you need to fully shut down Steam if you have it running in the background like 99% of PC gamers do. It supersedes Xbox or EAPlay and glitches out the game.
