Jedi survivor overheat

Hoping to find some tips, been trying to play jedi survivor and it's okay for about 1 hour playtime... but then it says my console is overheating and crashes.

The console has plenty of ventilation, isn't near a heat source, no dust, no clutter.

It's frustrating having to redo everything because it doesn't save.

Please help

  • I'm having the exact same problem and mines even on a docking fan that gives it 3 extra fans to help keep it cool. Idk what to do with it. I'm on a ps5 version.

  • I just bought the game yesterday, 5/7/23. By the time it got through all the pre-game stuff and was playing the opening cut scenes, my laptop keyboard was HOT to the touch. I’ve never felt that with any other game.

Since I could feel the incredible heat, I just shut down the game.

Does anyone know if a fresh purchase and download yesterday means I already have the released patches?

I’ll look more tonight, but I’m afraid of starting the game again and damaging my well-equipped laptop.

    Hi Everyone,

To confirm which console are you playing on? And, does this happen at the same play time each time you play Jedi: Survivor?

I play on a ps5. The amount of possible play has gotten shorter and shorter before it overheats the system. This is the only game it happens with. Ps5 was already cleaned.

  • I'm on Xbox series X, I have the same problem I can't even get past the opening cut scene before it overheats and shuts down. Nothing wrong with my consoles placement, no dust too! It's pretty much unplayable

    Edit

Soo I'm a big believer in holding up your hands when your wrong, my apologies! It turns out I had a large build up of dust on my heatsink. Anyone having overheating on the Xbox series x check the back bottom left vent on your console. Get a torch and angle it up you can see the heatsink then and it might be you're having the same people I did! The game seems to be running absolutely fine and me console is as quiet as a mouse! I hope this helps some of you!

  • I play on PS5. Just started this Saturday and the overheating still happens
