Jedi Survivor Recognizing pre existing game files PC
Hello,
-My friend had downloaded Jedi Survivor when it first came out via an EA Play Pro subscription on the EA App, and still has those game files from April. Around 129GB.
-I subscribed to EA Play Pro earlier this month, and he gave me his game files yesterday.
-I copied those files on my PC hoping it would recognize them (or that at least it would save me from having to redownload everything again from scratch by only downloading the Game Patches that were released later).
-After selecting the same folder where my friend's game files were located on my PC as an install location, the download progress immediately jumped to 70% (Which was promising). For the next 15-20mins the download progress was "preparing" 37.46GB, with that progress slowly moving towards 100% (Without downloading anything).
-Then after reaching 100%, the download progress started again from scratch: 0/ 125.5GB completely ignoring the game files and the size of the game on the HDD doubling (250GB+).
*** Q: Is there a way to make the EA App recognize some older game files for a game like Jedi Survivor ? ***
I have a number of previously downloaded Origin Games stored on my external Hard Drives (as backup) that are missing some updates too, does that mean I have to restart all those massive games from scratch? And that the EA App will immediately ignore older game files if they are missing an update or two?
Thanks for responding.
