I wait until it reaches the main menu. I’ve had a few instances where it would crash at the optimization screen, I usually close out and run these steps
i overclock cpu and gpu
windows+r enter “temp” delete the files it will allow you to
windows+r enter “%temp%”delete the files it will allow you to
windows+r enter “prefetch”delete the files it will allow you to
then re-open the game alt+tab out
if you reach the main menu, immediately go into your settings>visual settings> everything on low and ultra performance.

@aotpClench Thanks for the help but still no luck. I even deleted the config file to try and reset the settings.
