Lucrehulk core scavenger droid not spawning

I had the same issue. Droid wouldn't spawn going right. I read on a Playstation thread (I am playing on Xbox Series X) for a solution. I fast traveled, rested, restarted game, then fast traveled BACK to the core and then went left (past the hammer guy). Droid was there and you just follow him into the room with the other droids. Hope this helps anyone else!
