Hey @iluminatethesky
I checked and my GPU driver is up to date.
Geforce Experience overlay was already disabled and I tried turning off steam overlay.
I validated the game files on steam.
I thought it was fixed after validating the game files as I was able to get farther but then it crashed again.
I didn't see a error code.
In the crash reporter it shows LoginId and "LowLevelFatalError [File:Unknown] [Line: 686] pResource->Map(Subresource, pReadRange, reinterpret_cast<void**>(&pData)) failed at D:\depot\r8branches\r8release\Engine\Source\Runtime\D3D12RHI\Private\D3D12RHIPrivate.h:1253 with error DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED with Reason: DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG"

Hey @Shtupidog,
Looks like there's quite a few people experiencing the same issue.
Although, the last comment mentions disabling Ray Tracing. If you have that enabled, have you turned it off to see if the issue persists?
Thanks 🙂

I was able to play the game with ultra settings with no crashing up until that area.
Do you know if it is game or driver issue and whether it is something that will be fixed or not? Would it be worth waiting for the game to be playable?
Thanks

Hey @Shtupidog,
It seems like it's an issue with the game itself, I do not believe it's related to the Drivers. I did see some new drivers were released recently(a couple days ago).
My only other recommendation would be to do a fresh uninstall / reinstall of the latest Drivers.
If you'd like, you can also try contacting EA Support to see if there's any further troubleshooting that can be done.

Thanks 🙂

They don't seem to make it very easy to contact them... When I finally was able to email them I got this response:
"In order to resume this case, please click “Resume Case” below. Once you resume this case you can add more content such as attachments or continue to contact one of our advisors. Otherwise your case will be autoclosed."
Resuming the case also results in it being paused again.
