Re: Bedlam Raider Veteran attack unable to escape/always fatal

Hey guys, am playing on PC via the EA app

There's an enemy called the Bedlam Raider Veteran (shows up on tactical guide as Raider Veteran)

It has a red attack where it grabs you in its pronged staff and electrocutes/immobilises you

When this happens to me there is no prompt to escape from it (e.g. clicking mouse buttons/tapping a key) and it just slowly bleeds my health until I die

Is this happening to other people? Is this suppsoed to be an unescapable/unsurvivable attack or is a glitch?


The fact I'm just stuck and die very slowly makes it feel like a glitch but appreciate it might just be the developers wanting to have some fun.


This happens for all types of this enemy I have encountered in different locations...

    I've found that if you are able, switching stances and inputting the jump command (you'll have to wiggle your stances while also inputting the jump command) let's you escape.
    It's entirely unintended as the raider will (sometimes) stand there stabbing the air with his lightning staff and be locked in that animation until you hit it.

    But hey, it's a workaround.

    I'm playing on Xbox, and I'm pretty sure I can escape this one by mashing B. Cal should be able to kick himself free.

    Hi all - I established this may be linked to having changed my keybinds.


    On resetting keybinds and getting hit by this same attack it gives a prompt to spam the tab (dodge) button. For whatever reason the prompt doesn't appear for whatever button you may have changed the keybind to.

    I guess still a bug but at least there is a workaround.

    @SausageFezt I had "automatically succeed QTEs" enabled, that's why it didnt show up, but even after I disabled it, and the "dodge" button showed up, I still cannot escape the grapple. I can mash the "dodge" button until my keyboard breaks, it still doesn't work.
