@Kdancer44  If you spray the koboh substance on the block where the light is hitting it, does the substance light on fire?  If so, how far can you make the fire go (by spraying more of the stuff) before it gets put out?  If you can't light the barrier on fire from the floor, try spraying the substance up the wall a little, but I don't think that was necessary for me.
