I was having this same error. I then restarted my PC, entered my BIOS, and disabled XMP. Save and exit. After this, the game worked. For some reason, the game completely crashes when XMP is enabled. 

It's absolutely ridiculous that we have to sacrifice performance overall on my computer just to play a game that we payed good money for.
