Re: LowLevelFatalError [File:Unknown] [Line: 686] DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG

Almost a relief to know others are also having this issue.

When it first keeps happening, I can't help but think "Oh no. My GPU is dying" "my PC is broken" or something.

But for me this LowLevelFatalError [File:Unknown] [Line: 686] DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG bug was happening at:

Imperial Post 8L-855

There are about 3 waves of enemies to fight in the hanger.

1. Attempt 1, I died. Wasn't watching my health bar.

2. I defeated the initial bad guys, and then the waves never started. Just had to reload my last save. I couldn't continue.

3. After that I would get the DXGI error every 5-10 minutes. Sometimes it would happen during the waves of enemies. Sometimes it would happen 1-5 minutes after going up the elevator after the waves.

Tried everything I could think of. (DDU/Nvidia drivers. Repair game. Reinstall game on different SSD. SFC/Scannow. Lower settings. Leaving the world and coming back. Turning off RT) After all that, still crashing to that error.

Basically, I think I just got through the area it was happening.. Maybe.

1. I used Nvidia GeForce Experience to set the game settings to default Optimize (max). Previously I had tried using that, but put the optimization slider half way down. Maybe one of those settings caused it.

2. I defeated the waves of enemies, but rather than going forward up the elevator, I went back and saved at the meditation point.

After this, I made it all the way to defeating Dagan Gera.. It was probably an hour later but I was still worried about crashing. Got to a meditation point and saved. I then tried to fast travel back to the ship... and it didn't crash, but the loading screen froze to the point I had to restart my PC.

Luckily the save took.

Curious if this bug has to do with corrupted save files... Because for me, this all started with a bug that didn't allow me to continue the game... So I had to load an old save.  Probably just a coincidence though.

Had no issues until going into the caves in koboh/downloading a patch today. Now everytime a flashback video runs it crashes with this error

    Hey All,

Was getting this error, along with several others.  Updated graphics drivers (NVidia), and optimized through GForce Experience, and also updated drivers for display.  Was able to play nicely for a few hours with no issues.  Was able to quit naturally and pick up a little later without iussue.  Give it a go.
