Ah, I see. For this workaround you may also have to uninstall the EA app altogether, and then during the Origin first-time setup you'll have to turn off automatic updates. This is what I did, but didn't note at first. I'll add this to an edit in my original comment.

@Cryptobiosis your workaround worked for me. as you said you have to uninstall the EA App first before downloading the older Origin version. I'm downloading the game now, thank you!!
