Soft locked on Rendezvous with Cere’s contact

On XBOX series X

On the level ‘Rendezvous with Cere’s contact’. During the sandstorm, Cal slides down the broken sand path and jumps over the sand scorpion creature. When scaling the rock pillar and dropping down on to the flag pole to swing to the higher up ledge of the next area, Cal keeps facing the opposite direction to the ledge so I am unable to swing to the next area?? Bugged?
