Found a solution, turns out dying by jumping off over and over again and respawning fixed it for me, but i'll leave this up incase others have this problem.

How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Approach the elevator and see if the elevator stays highlighted to slam down.
What happens when the bug occurs? Elevator stops being highlighted and won’t be able to be brought down to proceed.
What do you expect to see? The ability to proceed through the mission by be able to use force slam where it is needed.
Force Slam and Lift have worked appropriately up until this point. I should be able to force slam the elevator down to go up to the next level but the lift only highlights for a brief second and then returns to normal, not allowing me to slam it down. I cannot proceed through the mission without getting up on this next level’s platform and I have no other way up. I’ve tried restarting the game to no avail. When I pause the game and resume the lift will briefly highlight and prompt me to Force Slam it but then immediately disappear before it will pull it down.
