Unexpected Error - Bypassed Story Elements

I'm having the exact same problem

Same error.

Same location.

Playing on PC

I have the same issue also, I select take me to a previous save it takes me to the last meditation point, gives me the message again but then loads me forward to where I logged off down in the Valley. Just loops between the two.

I had the same issue. Playing on PC (Steam). This happened at this same vista (with the wanderer) that you're describing. Really frustrating! 

However, using the option "verifying the integrity of the game files" in Steam has fixed this issue for me. I don't know if something similar is an option on Xbox One. If not, then re-downloading/ re-installing the game might fix this for you. I hope this helps. Good luck!

I'm sorry to hear that. Perhaps clearing the cache on your Xbox might work?

1). Press and hold the power button of your Xbox One for 10 seconds to turn off the Xbox.

2). Now unplug the power wire from the back of the console and make sure any indicator lights are off.

3). Wait for 1 minute.

4). Plug the power cable back into your Xbox One and turn it on.

5). Restart your Xbox One. The cache should be cleared now.

Hopefully they release a patch soon!

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game but the issue persists. All out of ideas except for starting a completely new save which is really discouraging.
