Yeah, random points in the game (that shouldn't be THAT CPU-intensive - there isn't a ton going on) - bring my 9700k to its knees. Man, it's a RAM hog too - currently sitting at 27 GB/32 with just this game and a handful of Chrome tabs open. Any time I see it stutter, I can usually switch back to task manager and I'll see either a single core pegged, or the CPU near 100% usage.
6750XT, 1440p here. Also beats up my 6800S GPU, but less so the Ryzen 9 6900HS than the 9700k.
