Why isnt Jedi Survivor on Xbox one

Yes, I'm going to complain.....My son and I have been waiting for the follow up game to one of our most favorite games to play together, only to find out that we won't be able to play it on our Xbox One!!! I'm sorry, but we don't have money laying around to go buy a brand new system and frankly, we shouldn't have too.....I understand that the game is huge, the graphics are amazing and so on, but I would gladly skip the extra visual effects so we could actually play the game.....thanks for screwing over the ones who can't afford to but a new gaming system for just one game. Corporate greed at its finest.

When you see how it runs on high end PCs you'll reconsider.
At least they didn't attempt to scam last gen owners this time like certain other companies.

    Hey @irishbball55,

Sorry to hear you won't be able to play Jedi Survivor currently as a result of the platforms it's been released on.

I have a family member on PS4 who's unable to play for the same reason, though that did make me realize the PS4 and Xbox One are coming up on 10 years old at this point!

While I get it doesn't help the sting of looking forward to something you can't play at the moment, at some point aging hardware does limit what developers are able to do when working on a new title.

Hopefully you'll get a chance to check the game out in the future and it'll even have some extra patches under its belt by that point, thanks for the post and feedback!

  • This is not an excuse that the hardware limits the programmers the previous part . ST fallen order didn't have such loud problems on all platforms, you wanted to do something new but you didn't test it, ST survivor has problems even on the strongest platforms, and you could have released a good sequel improved by the problems of the predecessor on the same platforms, gaining the sympathy of Star Wars fans, I also can't play ST survivor because I have xbox one and I won't change the hardware for one game it's a big disappointment :/

I don't understand this logic. By not releasing on older consoles, they are limiting the number of game copies being sold. How is selling less of a product an example of greed?

This console generation is two and a half years old.

Publishers who don't offer what the current generation offers and instead 'dumb down' to a decade old standard will get severely criticised.

Granted, there's a cost to generational changes, there's no getting around that. Perhaps it will be accessible on cloud gaming at some point.

Technology is advancing, and so are games (because they have to). Sometimes you have to leave the past behind.

I am going to lock this thread as it is not constructive in any way.
