Accidentally spent Cartel Coins

So I was checking out the game and enjoying my time when I stumbled upon the credit escrow. Through the whole game I had no idea what it was, only that I had a limit on the amount of credit I get. I clicked on the escrow and it asked me how many credits I want to transfer. I thought "oh so this is how i get my credits back." So clicked the biggest one and it gave me 600,000 credits. it also took away 240 Cartel Coins. I didn't know it was going to do that! It never said "Are you sure you want to spend 240 coins to get the credits?" I just want my Coins back. I don't even want the credits. I tried to contact EA to help me but they said "Your not a subscriber, we won't help you." There is no chance in hell that I'm going to pay for this game if it is going to rip me off and not even try to help me. Is there anything I can do to get my coins back, or did EA screw me over?

I will refer your question to swtor CS when they come online for an official response to this.

What i can recommend is attach a security key to the account, this will grant you 100cc a month , so in a few months you can recover the CCs you just used.

The FAQ for Escrow is at this link for reference

  • Hey @Otter-lnsanity

what you bought is indeed not credits (as its also said in the details of the item in the cartel market) but a transfer of credits that went into your overflow. As preferred or f2p player you have a credit cap and every credit you earn over that cap will go into your escrow. The cartel market item is there to transfer credits from that escrow back to your character credit balance (this happens automatically if you become a subscriber).

With all purchases of the cartel market, once they are claimed to your inventory it is not possible to refund them.

There is a default message on whenever you buy something from the cartel market and it looks like this:

You can turn this off by hitting the "Do not show this dialog again" and it will not show up again. As I said, this is on by default and must be deactivated by the player.

You also still have the chance to refund an item when it's in your unclaimed item stash.

But if you claim it, you agreed to buy it and a refund is not possible.

You are free to sell the item on the galactic trade market or use it whenever you come over the credit cap.

  • so in other words we have to spend cartel coins to get the credits that is owed us when i did it i thought it was going to charge me 240 credits and not cartel coins otherwise i would not have done it and the credits are still in my inventory but you can't send them back to get your cois back
