Adjust the brightness

Good day,

I've been playing for almost two years and am a legendary player. I have recently bought a new PC and with the brightness problems. When I move in dark areas or on the planet Zakuul in the marshes, I really do not see anything. (Only my lightsaber.) I have yet another problem.
I can not change any graphics settings in ingame when I press confirm, the game freezes. The settings are not accepted. I then always have to adjust everything via the editor. This works then on the highest settings without problems. My computer creates the highest graphics settings without problems, but it is too dark. How do I set the brightness in the editor? But I do not want a loss of graphics quality. Shadow is very important to me. In bright rooms it also looks perfect.
