It took me (I counted) 4 emails, 2 calls with 1 call escalating to a manager and 2 "rejection" emails where they did their "thorough investigation" and verified that I did wrongdoing. Keep trying, keep persisting. When I spoke to the manager, I was very polite but I really expressed how upset I was because I was being accused of something that I didn't do. He seemed to take me seriously which I appreciated.
Keep at it man. Don't give up. I'm like you - I didn't want the strike on my account and I was willing to do whatever it took to either fix it or get my RL money back.
