Can't buy a subscription

I tried buying a 2 month non-recurring subscription for SW:TOR earlier today, but when I tried to buy it, it gave the following error:

I can still login to the website, and login to the game and play, but I can't buy a subscription (or buy anything else, for that matter).
I thought maybe it was because I was using a VPN, but turning it off didn't work. I'm not in my home country right now, if that affects anything, I'm in Turkey.
I saw on this Reddit post from about a month ago that some people managed to get it to work by buying it through Steam, but to do that I would have to download the entire game again through Steam so that I could link my account, and that would take ages.

    this could be due to a country mismatch between the country detailed on the swtor and linked ea account and the country ip address you are attempting to purchase from

    I would ensure the country matches the one you are residing in

    can only suggest try again tomorrow, can ask on Monday if any known issues but if there is one likely sorted before then

    edit: creditcards issued in a different country usually dont work if the locale is showing a different country

    I'll try again later then, but I haven't actually gotten to the option to actually enter/choose my payment information.

    It gives me the error in the post after clicking on "Buy" on this part.

    not seeing anyone else saying the same issue, have you tried another web browser at all ?

    Just tried again on Opera GX (I was using Google Chrome before this by the way), but nothing, still the same error and everything.

    same thing here.  I tried to buy game time today but it kept saying my card wouldn't go through.  I called the card people; they said everything is fine  on my end (I knew it was because I use that card all the time).  No clue why I can't buy game time.

    That got it to work. I'll just have to make sure I change it back when I leave Turkey. I didn't realize that the country would affect it. Thanks!
