using the same email does not create an account linkage as per https://help.ea.com/en-nz/help/star-wars/star-wars-the-old-republic/swtor-account-linked
If you follow the directions i have provided to reset the password on the linked EA account you will be able to purchase again
unless you have recently changed the email on your swtor account in which case it needs to the original email used to reset the password
I get an error trying to link my Amex card to my EA account, or trying to using it to purchase CC on swtor.com
my swtor account is linked to steam. and i just downloaded and installed Origin
steam removed amex as a paying method which made me go try the website for the first time - i cant use other methods steam presents.
for now i am still subscribed.
what should i do ?

same name for legacySupport said there is no issue with your account , they can see you purchased coins and a subscription recently
if you cant add the credit card they recommend to call them when the lines are open
Hey friend, hoping you can help me with the same problem!
I looked into it, I had an account for years ago that I stopped playing in 2019, but in 2020 I had changed the email address associated with my SWTOR account (same one this one uses) so everything should be connected? But when I went to add some subscription time (display name: Karakkan) I got the error everyone else has been getting.
Is it just an I have to wait for the servers to recognize I've logged into everything or has something else gone askew?

The linked EA account likely uses the original swtor email , i have flagged to check the account for issues , response will be in about 12 hrs when support are online for the day here
I think the english phone lines are still open for an hour if you prefer to call ( that may be necessary in anycase but wont know until they respond )
