Here is the dxdiag thing. sorry I don;t really understand computers that well. didn't think downloading this game would be this technical.
Any advice?
I see the issue , apart from this system is scraping the minimum requirements
The issue is you have no hard drive space left which is likely (is) why the download stops and all of a sudden you get I/O errors.
Dxdiag shows the hard drive is full , and the game takes up near 40GB of hard drive space but your hard drive is only 58.4GB to start with.

Free Space: 0.3 GB
Total Space: 58.4 GB
File System: NTFS

I finally understand. What I don't understand is that the game said it only needed 25 GB and I cleared 25. Does it really need 40?
Yes , the game was 25GB when first released but with all the expansions it is now around 38Gb see this link and read the post by Rorhi who just installed it.
