Character slots aren't free for use after deleting characters

These are the new limits after the server merge: 

• F2P players will have a default of 4 characters per server (up from 2)
• Preferred players will have a default of 12 characters per server(up from 6)
• Subscribers will have a default of 24 characters per server (up from 12)
• The maximum character slots per server has been increased to 100 (up from 52)

If you are preferred (for example) and you never used server slot unlocks you can have up to 12 characters. If you have more than 12 characters after the server merge you need to delete so many characters until you are below 12 to create a new character.

Same goes for subscribers. If you never used unlock slots as a subscriber you need to continue to delete characters until you are below 24 before you can create new characters. 

Thank you for your reply.  I am aware of the limits after the merge.  I was pre-KOTET over the character limit on my server and did receive a warning that to create additional characters I needed to remove 17.  I no longer have any warnings that I am over the character limits and back in February (after assistance from CS via in-game ticket) my character count moved to 41/41 with the addition of a  new character.  I am assuming that being able to create character number 41 just 3 months ago and my login screen today showing no over the limit message that I should have available 41 character slots.  If it will help I can post screenshots of my old pre-KOTET log in screen with the message it shows for being over the limit and my current one which doesn't have any warning I'm beyond my character cap.  Is there somewhere other than the log in screen to see what my counts should be at?

I have the same question. I now sit at 52/52. I had at least 20 chars that I deleted to get down this far when merge occurred. One of the characters I deleted was my boosted to 65 character. Login screen says I have a boost available, but no slot to create it in. I now want to make a new character, bought an unlock with CCs and used it. Got no new character slot available. I need to know how many slots I am away from being able to create a new character. Also, why, if the new limit is 100, am I unable to create a new character at 52? I can understand the desire to make sure people are using CCs to purchase new slots. I did. I wasn't given a character. And the only explanation given on my support ticket was that I'm over the character limit due to the merge. At the very least, if I wasn't getting a new character from my slot purchase, my CCs/char unlock item should have been refunded.

Sorry, started to get upset again. Let me just say, I need to know how many characters I have available if not 52. I put a lot of work into my characters and I don't want to delete any. I just want to add more - up to the 100 I'm supposedly allowed, without paying a penalty because EA/BW/whoever else decided to merge servers. Meaning this: I buy an unlock, you add a char slot. Easy-peasy.

I would appreciate a response, and if possible, a place on the website showing the ACTUAL character amount that I am allowed. If 52 isn't it, you should show that somehow.
