Try changing your graphic settings to low within the game and switch to windowed mode. Initiate the cut scene again and report back whether you are now able to proceed.

We need to find or get BW working on a fix for this not a workaround!
Installing dx9.0c isn't exactly a work around it is a 'requirement' of the game...
When the game was developed it was built using DX9 as its core... with the later models video cards, they install DX10 or 11, both of these DirectX versions do not contain the files for DX9; Instead they emulate/pretend that they have them using/creating more processes and issues.
It is an oversight of Microsoft to not included these files as they are still to this day used in many popular games.
I use DX11 but if someone does comfirm as a small or temp fix i will use it!
I built a new pc for the mrs 2 weeks ago.. i5 4960k, 960FTW4gig, SSD, Sabertooth mk2 z97 Mboard; and installed dx9.0c as per my guide..
Whole thing has been bullet proof.. she's getting 100fps (soft capped)... everything is set to crazy ultra. ~42% GPU usage, 18% on the fan.
No issues at all , minor drops to 80fps in pvp .
