Desktop Authenticator

My security key is failing fast and I have looked into Winauth as an alternative. But I'm having a few issues setting it up. 1 - "Enter the secret code for your Authenticator".  Is this supposed to...

I can add a mobile key purely using Winauth?

Do you not need to have a smart phone to setup a mobile key, then you can add that key to Winauth?

    Looks like that's done the trick.

    Removed the physical key, added a key via WinAuth.  Login didn't work until I shut down and restarted Winauth.
