Underclocking my GPU by -100 mhz fixed the issue. Heh.
PSU can be cause just to mention of these sorts of issues
Downclocking for EVGA cards is a specific reason, otherwise needing to downclock is usually time to RMA.
Unfortunately this sort of issue is a PITA to narrow down
I mean, if downclocking works (I'll try all this later today as I'm tired and getting ready to sleep) solely in SWTOR and whatnot.. I'll just go that route for now and potentially RMA it in the future/near future because it runs fine with any other game I play.
I've read several of your responses to issues like this across the old SWTOR tech support forums and all of those issues are specifically what I'm having right here, so I'm not alone with this problem of crashing drivers/grey screens and downclocking seemed to help some people, even 970's.
Working on downclocking at the moment to see if that's going to cause any issues, currently playing the game - I'll report back.
Though, I did have one question Owen..
While running MSI Afterburner (what I'm using to downclock) everything looks normal. While playing I get temps of like 60-65ish.
GPU1 is obviously my GeForce GTX970.
There's a GPU2 here as well, but I only have the one GPU (other than the one I disabled yesterday which is the intel whatever one) but on the GPU2 usage thing on MSI it randomly spikes to 100% load or stays there for a little bit.
Any ideas?
In the settings of MSI even the dropdown box of GPU1/2 it says 1 is the 970 and 2 is just blank.
same issue here... evga gtx 980. latest drivers etc. no other game does this but star wars MMO

I saw that your running WIndows 7, pretty please tell me you have turned off Windows Aero, and any overlays that you can .. Ventrilo/Mumble/teamspeak I have seen that Nvidia Experience can cause issues with some systems aswell; personally I would uninstall that one also.
