account linkage is made on account creation with the email used to create the swtor account
if this ea account your posting on was the account auto created with the yahoo email address , then you can try the below
( use the following link (insert the yahoo email) to reset the password then login on that EA account to fix the swtor account for purchasing )
use incognito mode with chrome for example to be sure the browser cache isnt still caching the error itself though
I have flagged to check the account anyways and will have a response bac from swtor support in about 11 hrs when they are online for the day
I am having the same issue, I have tried all of the fixes I could find. This is crazy that I cannot subscribe or redeem a code.

you do need to call swtor support when the lines are open to fix the account issue
I’ll try to call them but I still think this process is needlessly complicated. I will probably not be at home during opening hours, that’s why I would’ve preferred a ticketing system or something but apparently that’s for subscribers only… but I also want to subscribe
ticketing system is only for ingame issues, all account issues regardless of subscriber status is calling swtor support , this applies to subscribers too
