Emailed about Character Deletion, character deleted anyways

I got and email today on the 20th of November, talking about keeping my character's name from being changed. It had been some time since I player, but to keep the character I re-downloaded the game. Jumped through the hoops of just logging in then I get to the server select screen. I noticed that I had NO characters on any servers. Thinking I just need to recreate a character it would then give me the option to reload my character then...Nope. So what was the point of sending me an email to warn me about character deletion only to delete my character anyways?!

What the hell man? If this is how things are going to be then you might as well just refund me every single purchase I have ever made on the game in real cash.

    Sorry to hear you had this happen can definitely understand the frustration.

    You'll need to get in touch with SWTOR support directly. While I'm unsure if they'll be able to restore the character they're the only ones that can help with account issues directly as we can't help with them on the forums. 

    Hope you're able to get this sorted, please let us know how it goes.

    You'll need to get in touch with SWTOR support directly. While I'm unsure if they'll be able to restore the character they're the only ones that can help with account issues directly as we can't help with them on the forums.

  • Wish I could, but unless I'm subscribed which means paying money, which I can't afford right now, I cannot get in contact with support. If I try any other way, using the links provided, I just get taken around in circles. Great support design, where they set you up so you can't reach them without some kind of monetization. EA support just seems to be in the toilet except here. Thanks for replying but nothing I can do. So all my time, effort, progress, dedicated to having a fun cool star wars sith by my own way of story, all the times that I could afford the subscription in the past, all my mounts that I either was able to buy on the janky monetarized trading house, my cosmetics, my hard earned achievements, all of it gone with in the same day of receiving an email telling me if I want to keep my characters, I need to login so the name wouldn't be lost. I did what it told me but it's clear. EA doesn't give two craps about it's consumers anymore and they do what the please now. Disgustingly Unprofessional.
